About HID Xenon headlight ballast
The HID ballast is important as it makes it easier to start the lamp and allows the current flow through the entire bulb, keeping the light on. Another important function is to control the electrical current flowing through the bulb.
HID bulbs (High Intensity Discharge) are connected to ballasts that control the voltage and frequency of the current to ensure the lamp gets the correct power. Ballasts are usually attached to the rear or bottom of the headlight.
Replace your bad HID ballast in time
Each ballast has an operating environment temperature range and UL location classification. If it is too hot or too cold, the ballast can burn or not start the lamps at all. Heat combined with prolonged condensation in an electronic ballast can cause corrosion.
How to replace the ballasts:
Turn off the device on the circuit breaker.
Cut the wires near the old ballast and remove the ballast.
The wires of the new ballast are excessively cut.
The new ballast and the ends of the sockets are removed.
The new ballasts are connected to the cables in the socket with cable connectors.
